Support the public policy mission priorities of AAUW by Making Your Voice Heard. In Arizona, you can do this through a legislative mechanism called Request To Speak (more details on this here.) RTS allows you to comment on current legislation, either speaking in person or submitting your comments online.
To learn about current legislation on issues that support the AAUW Mission, and other topics of personal interest, there are organizations that compile the pertinent details of each bill introduced, and when it is ready to be heard in committee, which is when you can submit your comments through RTS. The organizations below allow you to subscribe to periodic updates on the status of current legislation.
ARIZONA:
Arizona Legislature: AZLEG.gov
Through the various tabs on the menu bar, you can learn about the current legislature and legislation, use the Request to Speak system to comment on any bill active on a committee’s agenda, and research bills in more detail. TAKE ACTION – LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!
Civic Engagement Beyond Voting: CEBV.us
Through The Weekly tab, subscribe to the “CEBV Weekly,” an up-to-date overview of notable bills, sources of information on these bills, and ways to voice your opinion on bills of interest. You also can sign up for other email updates, distributed on Sundays during the legislative session.

Through the Take Action tab, you can ‘Sign Up for Email Updates.’
League of Women Voters or Arizona: LWVAZ.org
Through the Advocacy & Issues tab, click on ‘Current Issues’ to sign up for its various Newsletters.

Through the Take Action tab, click on ‘Two-Minute Activist’ to join its ‘Action Network’ to receive regular alerts on how and when to engage in the national and state legislative processes.

From the Home page, set up “Your Voter Dashboard.” Also, under the What We Do tab, click on ‘The People’s Ledger‘ under ‘Civic Engagement,’ read the current ‘Ledger’ article, and sign up to receive email and texts of current issues.
